4 Killed as Auto Rams into Stationary Lorry near Chittoor Check Post

Hyderabad: Four members of a family travelling in an auto rickshaw died after it rammed into a stationary lorry near a check post at Perumallapalli village in Chittoor district on Thursday morning. Seven more persons escaped with injuries.
After the staff at the check post blew a whistle, the lorry driver panicked and stopped the vehicle suddenly fearing that he would be subjected to frisking.
At the same time, the driver of the auto rickshaw arriving from the same direction lost control and crashed into the lorry. Death was instant for two persons identified as Madhavi (37), her daughter Meghana (15).
Madhavi’s brother Rajasekhar (25) and mother Pulikanti Baby (50) died while undergoing treatment at the hospital in the district. The police said the injured were rushed to Ruya hospital in Tirupati.
