35 New Animals, Birds Born In Vizag Zoo
The newly born animals include Indian grey wolves, striped hyena, barking deer, marmoset, Asiatic wild dogs, spotted deer, grey pelicans, lutino parakeets and rainbow lorikeets.

Visakhapatnam : As many as 35 new animals and birds belonging to various species were born in the Vizag Zoo here over the past few weeks, which included Indian grey wolves, Asiatic wild dogs, rainbow lorikeets and others. Indira Gandhi Zoological Park (IGZP) curator G Mangamma said dedicated breeding and conservation efforts led to these births.
IGZP is also called Vizag Zoo.
"IGZP, Visakhapatnam is continuing its dedicated breeding and conservation efforts and is delighted to announce the birth of several animals and birds over the past few weeks," Mangamma said in an official release on Saturday.
The newly born animals include three Indian grey wolves, and striped hyena, barking deep and marmoset (one each).
Likewise, 10 Asiatic wild dogs, eight spotted deer, two grey pelicans, seven lutino parakeets and two rainbow lorikeets were born.
"This achievement is the result of our dedicated veterinary team's hard work and expertise in animal care and breeding programmes," Mangamma said.
