Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Saturday allotted returnable plots to farmers who voluntarily pooled their land under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) for the development of Amaravati through a transparent online e-lottery held at its office in Rayapudi.

The e-lottery was conducted in the presence of beneficiary farmers after a trial run of the online randomisation process for residential and commercial plots to ensure transparency. APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabathula Karthik distributed provisional allotment certificates to the beneficiaries.

A total of 76 returnable plots, comprising 46 residential and 30 commercial plots, were allotted to 33 farmers from Nowluru-1, Nowluru-2, Krishnayapalem, Penumaka, and Kuragallu-1 and Kuragallu-2 villages.

Of the total allotments, 16 residential and seven commercial plots were allotted to farmers in the dry land category, while 30 residential and 23 commercial plots were allotted under the jareebu category.
