ANANTAPUR: Around 3,000 devotees from Anakapalli district participated in a three-day Parthi Yatra marked by spiritual and cultural programmes at Puttaparthi on Sunday.

Anakapalli district president K. Appala Naidu presented a report on various service activities undertaken by the district unit of Sathya Sai Seva Organisation. A video highlighting welfare and service initiatives was also screened at Sai Kulwant Hall.

The highlight was the musical dance drama “Sai Premalo Haayi”, directed by M.S. Prakash Rao and presented by Bal Vikas students and youth. It conveyed messages of love, compassion, patriotism and selfless service.

The drama depicted the transformation of students supported under the Sri Sathya Sai Deena Janoddharana scheme and highlighted values of service, sacrifice, self-confidence and devotion. It also urged students to contribute to the nation’s progress rather than merely aspire to settle abroad.

The programme also portrayed a wealthy man realising his mistake and deciding to dedicate his wealth to supporting underprivileged children.
