Hyderabad: A four-storey building collapsed in Tirupati, leaving three people seriously injured.
The incident occurred at Vani Nagar, near M.R. Palli Junction in the city, while foundation trenches were being excavated for the construction of a new building.
Meanwhile, cracks developed in the four-storey building during the excavation work, prompting the residents to alertly evacuate the premises. Their timely evacuation averted a major loss of life.
On receiving the information, police and officials of the Disaster Management Department reached the spot and launched rescue and relief operations. The injured were shifted to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Disaster Management Department personnel cleared the debris from the site.
