3 Found Dead Under Suspicious Circumstances
A fourth member was in a critical condition and undergoing treatment at the government hospital

Visakhapatnam: Three members of a family were found dead under suspicious circumstances in their home at Vanaja village of Jiyyammavalasa mandal in Parvathipuram Manyam district on Friday. A fourth member was in a critical condition and undergoing treatment at the government hospital.
The deceased were identified as M Madhu Kumar, 35, his wife, Satyavathi, and their son, Moshe, 4. Their daughter, Ayesha, who was found unconscious, was shifted to the hospital in a serious condition.
Though locals suspected the deaths were the result of suicide, the police ruled out the suicide angle and said they were accidental deaths. As per reports, Madhu was a mason and married Satyavathi around 15 years ago. The couple had four children (three daughters and one son). The couple’s two daughters were students at a residential school in Chinamerangi under Jiyyammavalasa mandal, while Madhu, along with his wife and two children, stayed in Vanaja village. Sub-inspector of Jiyyammavalasa police station, Prasanth Kumar, said their preliminary investigation revealed that three members of the family died of suffocation after inhaling smoke from the charcoal stove at their bedside, which they used to keep themselves warm.
The neighbours grew suspicious and entered their home when they did not wake up until late in the morning, only to find three of them (Madhu, Satyavathi, and Moshe) dead, and Ayesha lying unconscious on the floor. The girl was shifted to King George Hospital in Vizag city for better treatment. Using the coal stove inside a closed room of the house, mostly where there was no proper ventilation, and leading to suffocation, was the suspected reason for the deaths of the trio, the police added. The police also urged villagers not to use coal stoves inside closed rooms during winter.
