Tirumala: The annual three-day Vasanthotsavam at Tirumala concluded on Wednesday with the Snapana Tirumanjanam ceremony, drawing large numbers of devotees.

The ritual marked the culmination of the spring festival at the shrine of Lord Venkateswara, symbolically performed to relieve the deities from seasonal heat. As part of the rituals, nine processional deities, including Lord Malayappa Swamy with Sridevi and Bhudevi, Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman, Lord Krishna and Rukmini, were taken in a ceremonial procession to the Vasanthotsava Mandapam.

Priests conducted the Snapana Tirumanjanam amid Vedic chants, bathing the deities with sacred substances and adorning them with flowers and ornaments. The rituals lasted about two hours and were overseen by the Jeeyar Swamijis.

Following the ceremony, the deities were taken back to the temple in a grand procession on three golden palanquins, marking the conclusion of the festival. Temple officials, including Peishkar Rama Krishna, were present.
