267 Ayushman Arogya Mandir Buildings Inaugurated In 24 Districts
Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav virtually inaugurated 267 Ayushman Arogya Mandir buildings in 24 districts at an estimated cost of ₹105 crore.
Health minister Satya Kumar Yadav virtually inaugurated 267 buildings to accommodate Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in 24 districts, covering 87 Assembly constituencies, at an estimated cost of `105 crore. The programme was held at Janardhanapuram village in Gudivada division of Krishna district on Tuesday.
Inaugurating a new building at Janardhanapuram, the minister said the government was committed to providing quality healthcare services to people in rural and tribal areas. He said the government had targeted completion of 4,400 Ayushman Arogya Mandir buildings in the state in the next six months.
He said construction of the buildings had been entrusted to the panchayat raj department so that people would not have to travel from villages to urban centres for healthcare services. He described the simultaneous inauguration of 267 buildings as a rare event for the State health department.
The minister said a total of 4,400 buildings, including those left incomplete by the previous YSRC government, would be completed at an estimated cost of `1,128.02 crore, with funds allocated under various schemes.
He said the government was setting up one Ayushman Arogya Mandir for every 5,000 people, where 14 types of medical tests would be conducted and 105 types of medicines and 71 types of medical equipment would be made available. Tests would cover blood pressure, blood sugar, maternal and child health, healthcare for the elderly and communicable diseases.
The minister said the government was implementing the Sanjeevini scheme, under which patient details would be digitised and secured for doctors to access when required. He also said 930 mobile health centres would be arranged to provide healthcare services in remote villages.
