2 Booked For Sexually Assaulting Minor Boy In Palnadu

VIJAYAWADA: Muppala police booked two youths for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy at Chagantivaripalem village in Palnadu district about 10 days ago.
According to police, a 15-year-old boy living near the victim’s house and his 20-year-old friend allegedly lured the Class III student while he was on his way to the government school and took him to an isolated place outside the village, where the assault allegedly occurred.
Police said one of the accused recorded the incident on a mobile phone and later shared the video with his friends.
The video eventually reached the boy’s mother through village elders, following which she lodged a complaint. Muppala police registered a case under relevant provisions of the IT Act, Pocso Act and the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and launched an investigation.
