166 MITS Students Receive AICTE Scholarships Worth Rs 83 Lakh
The scholarships were awarded under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Pragati Scholarship Scheme, which provides financial assistance to meritorious girl students pursuing technical education.
Tirupati:As many as 166 girl students of the Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) have been awarded scholarships of Rs 50,000 each under the Central government’s AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme, taking the total assistance to Rs 83 lakh.
The scholarships were awarded under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Pragati Scholarship Scheme, which provides financial assistance to meritorious girl students pursuing technical education.
MITS vice-chancellor Dr C. Yuvaraj said the scheme is intended to encourage deserving girl students to pursue higher technical education by easing their financial burden. He said the scholarships are awarded based on academic merit in the qualifying examinations and help students continue engineering education without financial constraints.
Congratulating the recipients, Dr Yuvaraj urged them to make effective use of the scholarship to achieve their academic and career goals.
MITS founder and chancellor Dr N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary, pro-chancellor N. Dwarakanath, executive director Keerthi Nadella, principal Dr P. Ramnathan and faculty members also congratulated the students.
