15 Minors Caught Driving In Kurnool
The minors were counselled and warned, and their parents were summoned to the station for further counselling.
Kurnool:As part of the crackdown on minor driving, a special drive was conducted at Raj Vihar Centre on Saturday, where 15 minors were caught riding vehicles without valid licenses. The seized vehicles were taken to the Kurnool Traffic Police Station. The minors were counselled and warned, and their parents were summoned to the station for further counselling.
Traffic police warned that strict action will be taken against parents and vehicle owners who allow minors to drive. Kurnool traffic circle inspector Mansuruddin stated that, as per the orders of district SP Vikrant Patil, special enforcement drives are being conducted across the city to curb the menace of underage and unlicensed driving.
The circle inspector said that minors caught driving will be counselled initially, but repeat offenders will face fines and legal action. He added that the minors were made to pledge not to ride vehicles again without a valid licence.
