11-year-Old Drowns While Flying Kites In Konaseema
Tragedy strikes as boy drowns while flying kites; police and SDRF investigate

KAKINADA: An 11-year-old boy drowned in a freshwater pond at Peruru village in Amalapuram Rural mandal of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nandula Moksha (11). According to Amalapuram Town Circle Inspector P. Veerababu, Moksha and his brother Tilak were flying kites near the pond when they accidentally slipped and fell into the water.
Local residents managed to rescue Tilak, but Moksha was swept into deeper water and drowned. A team from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) launched a search operation and later recovered the boy’s body from the pond.
The tragic incident plunged the village into grief.
Amalapuram Town Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation.
