11 Schoolgirls Fall ill in Nandikotkur

Police said a stranger gave a packet of chocolates to one of the students as she had been entering the school on Friday, asking her to share it with her friends.

Anantapur:At least 11 students of a government girls’ high school in Nandikotkur of Nandyal district fell ill after eating chocolates supplied by an unknown person.
Police said a stranger gave a packet of chocolates to one of the students as she had been entering the school on Friday, asking her to share it with her friends.
The Class 7 girl distributed the chocolates to her friends. After eating the chocolates, the girls started feeling a vomiting sensation.
Alerted, the school headmaster and teachers immediately shifted all the girls to the Nandikotkur area hospital for treatment. All the students are now safe.
Police have launched a hunt for the stranger who gave the chocolates to the student.
