Telescopes are probably one of the most important discoveries in the history of mankind. It was invented four centuries ago by a Dutch optician and before that it was believed that the Earth was at the centre of everything. Only after the telescope came to existence, Italian Astronomer Galileo was able to find out that the Earth revolves around the Sun.
