ISRO ISU unit to celebrate its silver jubilee
IISU is responsible for design and development of world class indigenous inertial sensors and systems.
Thiruvananthapuram: ISRO Inertial Systems Unit, a key centre of the national space agency here, is all set to celebrate its silver Jubilee on April 22. ISRO Chairman A S Kiran Kumar will be the Chief Guest at a function to be held here on April 22 as part of the celebrations, a press release said.
One of the key centres of ISRO, IISU is responsible for design and development of world class indigenous inertial sensors and systems for all ISRO launch vehicles and spacecrafts, and is the only unit in the nation to have achieved self-reliance in the same, the release said.
P P Mohanlal, Director, IISU will welcome the gathering. A new Cold Atom Lab (CAL) at IISU will also be inaugurated by Kiran Kumar on the occasion, the release said.
