Sandhya Conventions MD Approaches HC Against HYDRAA
The court directed the HYDRAA to maintain status quo and adjourned the hearing to May 28.

HYDERABAD: Sandhya Conventions and Hotels Ltd MD Saranala Sreedhar Rao approached the Telangana High Court complaining against HYDRAA demolishing a mini hall and other structures at Survey No.s 124 and 125 of Gachibowli in Rangareddy district, on May 6.
He requested the court to direct HYDRAA to pay compensation for the “illegal and high-handed demolition” of the structures without following due process of law. He requested the court to initiate appropriate proceedings to hold the officials concerned liable for disobedience of court orders, and to order a departmental enquiry.
The petitioner said that HYDRAA had issued another speaking order on May 8 for further demolitions, and requested the court to restrain the authorities from interfering further with the possession or demolishing remaining structures belonging to Sandhya Hotels without a declaration from a competent civil court that they had encroached or removed any road of the FCI Layout.
On May 6, HYDRAA demolished alleged illegal structures belonging Sandhya Conventions and stated that it was carried out in response to complaints received from several landowners during Prajavani programme, alleging that Sridhar Rao had encroached on plots within the society layout.
The court directed the HYDRAA to maintain status quo and adjourned the hearing to May 28.
