Watch: Now an app can tell you about how your pet is feeling
It can be said that pets and human babies have a lot in common – for example, both are cute and can keep you occupied for hours with their adorable antics. However, most people can be clueless when trying to understand their emotions and non-verbal cues. But now this is going to change – at least with regards to pets.
A Japanese company called Anicall has claimed that they have developed an app that can tell pet owners how their pet cats and dogs are feeling, reports AFP. The firm explains that this special type of sensor can analyse more than 40 types of movements to help understand whether your pet is happy, sad, annoyed or if it just wants to play.
A representative of the company described that the sensor hidden in the animals’ collar allows their app to translate pet behaviour into emotions that can be displayed on the screen. The developers assert that the information received on the smartphone app will give owners greater insight into their pets’ emotions than the naked eye.
Those interested can check out this special piece of technology on display at Tokyo’s Wearable Device Technology Expo. The device is said to be available in markets by April.
