Mystic Mantra: Stability and instability are prerequisites

All of us live not just in our own mind, but also our body.

Everything that goes on, or takes place in our lives, is a pictogram of our consciousness — the sum total of the parts and part of the whole. This is all-inclusive; it relates to a hallowed as also pooled common foundation. What is entrenched in such a seamless, emblematical connect is not just the medium, but also message — where the whole is integrally and outwardly larger than the totality of the parts. It is obvious that our ageless mind and our perpetual wisdom of universal thought reside in such a conscious prism. This is generic to every civilisation and culture. The influence of such a symbolic context attracts not only philosophers, but also spiritualists and scientists, among others.

Picture this. All of us live not just in our own mind, but also our body. This mind-body expanse, also complexity, of wholeness, is not merely a principle. It holds to us a reflection that signifies our divine hub — or, universal truth we all hold within our own being. It “ups” our vision which exists, functions and resides in our soul and within us. You may call it our internal concord, or harmonious aplomb. It is inherent to our human condition as nature envisaged it to be. Agreed that modern life is chaotic; it also has a fuzzy dimension. Yet, it provides hope; also, optimism.

The moment we focus on the spiritual context of our being, whatever our situation in life, we’d be in the best possible position to bring in and restore stability. Stability cannot always function with mathematical, or computerised precision, yes, or by way of fine-tuning the ups and downs of life. It works in the mind. What holds the key to the idea is how well we assess the numerous facets of our life and its vast composites — including the interconnectedness that exists with each of us as fellow human beings. When such a fine sense of stability reaches a state of equipoise, new life experiences occur — not just from our successes, but also from our anxieties, among other things, more so when things are out of sync. This is primarily because life, as it is, moves on with regular episodes of stability, followed by interludes of instability.

This is not just nature’s law, it is also the steering wheel of existence, including spirituality, or every cosmic event that “poises” itself. It cannot exist without tranquillity, chaos or adversity. This translates into nature’s diktat for life — that all of us need a fusion of balance, wobbliness, pressure ripples or difficulty, because stability and instability are not only predicaments, they are also prerequisites. This whole credo connotes a movement — that life goes on, no matter what is on our platter.
