Yogi Adityanath pledges ‘UP model’ bulldozer action against sand and land mafia’

Odisha CM has become a patron of land, sand and coal mafia: Yogi Adityanath

BANPUR/MAHANGA (ODISHA): Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday pledged “UP-model bulldozer actions” in Odisha if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is elected to power in the state.

Addressing a poll rally at Banapur under Puri Lok Sabha constituency from where BJP national spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra is contesting elections, Adityanath said some bureaucrats were running the state administration as the CM Naveen Patnaik has grown old and unable to perform his activities. He alleged that the bureaucrats were busy looting the state’s mineral and other natural resources.

“Bring BJP to power in the state and you will see that these land, sand and coal are punished. Like Uttar Pradesh, you will see bulldozers crushing their illegal empire into pieces. The BJP government will recover all their ill-gotten money and build hospitals and schools on the lands they have grabbed,” said the UP CM, adding that the bulldozer had emerged as a symbol of progress and protection.

In another public meeting at Mahanga under Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency, Adityanath said a tsunami of Modi wave was sweeping across Odisha and nobody can stop the party from coming to power in the state.

The UP CM held the ruling Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) responsible for the brutal murder of Hindu seer Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati in 2008 by Maoist cadres at the behest of some people of particular faith. He castigated the BJD saying the regional party believed in the “policy of appeasement.”

Describing the 24 years of BJD ruling in Odisha as a “dark age,” the UP said the Naveen Patnaik government had pushed the state to 50 years back.

He also claimed that the BJP will win all the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

Claiming that UP had transformed a lot after 2017, Adityanath said now the state had emerged as a model state in the country.

“Just before 2017, mafias were calling the shots in Uttar Pradesh. After the BJP came to power, these mafias were taken into task. They have been humbled completely and peace prevails everywhere. It has now emerged as a prosperous state. Besides, it is now attracting the highest investment proposals,” said the UP CM.

Baijayant Jay Panda, the BJP national vice president, is contesting from Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat.
