Vijayawada: Chairman of Swachh Andhra Corporation K. Pattabhiram has called for integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and drone surveillance to enhance waste management in Vijayawada.
In a meeting held on Thursday at the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) Command Control Room, Pattabhiram, alongside Swachh Andhra MD Anil Kumar Reddy and VMC commissioner H.M. Dhyanchandra, discussed strategies for a cleaner Vijayawada. Pattabhiram stressed the transformative potential of AI and drones in sanitation efforts. Anil Kumar Reddy highlighted how these technologies could address challenges in waste management, while Dhyanchandra outlined their application in identifying black spots, monitoring stray animals, controlling mosquito breeding, and improving sanitation efficiency.
The meeting included officials from Swachh Andhra, VMC, and drone experts to explore practical solutions for implementing these advanced systems.
