US Hikes Visa Charges with $250 Security Deposit

Hyderabad: The US has introduced a Visa Integrity Fee of $250 for non-immigrant visa applicants, under President Donald Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The Bill was passed on July 4.
The Visa Integrity Fee is applied to B-1 and B-2 (tourist/business), F and M (student), H-1B (work), and J (exchange) visas. Those who fall under A and G categories are exempted.
The Visa Integrity Fee will go into effect in fiscal year 2025.
