SSLC prep boosted as Bidar DC engages students
Bidar DC Shilpa Sharma teaches math to SSLC students, boosting confidence ahead of exams and ensuring extra coaching

Bidar: With just weeks to go for the SSLC exams, Bidar district Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma visited the Government High School in Naubad to assess students' academic progress. But this time, she was more than just an official—she was also a teacher, stepping in to personally guide students through their math lessons and boost their confidence.
During the visit, she engaged with students on mathematics, asking them to solve questions from their syllabus. Students answered some of them confidently, after which the Deputy Commissioner took the opportunity to teach a few math lessons herself.
For students at the school, it was an unusual but memorable day—having the district’s top official step into their classroom, teach them math, and reassure them that their hard work would pay off.
Encouraging the students to stay focused, she instructed the Block Education Officer (BEO) Dr. B.R. Dodde to organize weekly tests and additional coaching sessions to ensure students feel fully prepared by the time their exams begin on March 21.
Dr. Dodde informed her that the SSLC syllabus had been completed in December, and the next three months were dedicated to revision and a passing package program to reinforce learning.
He also noted that around 8,000 students in Bidar district are set to appear for the exams this year.
