Road rage turns deadly: 20-year-old killed in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: A tragic incident unfolded in the early morning hours of Monday in Visakhapatnam, claiming the life of a young man.

According to assistant deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) Narasimham Murthy, 20-year-old G. Uday Kumar was allegedly murdered in a road rage incident.
The incident occurred on Kancharapalem road and involved two groups of friends, each with ages ranging from 20 to 22. Reports suggest both groups were racing each other in an intoxicated state, using the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) lanes and service roads.
A confrontation erupted between the groups, escalating into violence. One of the accused, Sai Kiran, allegedly provided a knife to Hemanth Sai Kumar. Kumar then allegedly used the weapon to inflict a fatal knife wound on Uday Kumar's throat.
The body of the deceased has been sent for autopsy. The prime suspects, Hemanth Sai Kumar and Sai Kiran, have been apprehended by the police.
