Before the field-level survey begins, officials involved in the process will undergo training. A state-level training programme for master trainers has been scheduled for September 23 at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The process of preparing the voter list for the 2027 Panchayat and Municipal elections in Odisha has begun, with a door-to-door survey scheduled to commence on October 26.
Officials will conduct the house-to-house survey from October 26 to November 7 to collect and verify voter-related information. The exercise is aimed at ensuring that the electoral roll is updated and accurate ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
Before the field-level survey begins, officials involved in the process will undergo training. A state-level training programme for master trainers has been scheduled for September 23 at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar.
Officials who will serve as trainers at the district level have been asked to attend the programme. The training will familiarise them with the procedures and guidelines to be followed during the voter list preparation exercise.
Following the state-level programme, the trained master trainers will conduct training sessions for officials at the district and block levels. These trainers will subsequently guide the officials who will be involved in the door-to-door survey.
The survey, scheduled to continue until November 7, will cover households across the state as part of preparations for the 2027 Panchayat and Municipal elections.
