Didi: Will Expose Corruption Of BJP
The TMC chief claims 500 teams of BJP in WB to axed voters' names from list

Kolkata: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday threatened to expose the corruption of the BJP after accusing it of sending 500 teams to the state to conduct a doorstep ‘survey’ to drop the voters' names from the electoral roll ahead of the Assembly Election.
Ms Banerjee, while addressing the foundation day celebration of her party's student wing: Trinamul Chhatra Parishad, said in the city, “The Election Commission’s rule exists for three months during the polls. Muscle flexing will not work. We also have (your) Bhandar (secrets) with us. Like we have Lakshmir Bhandar, there is your Bhandar of corruption also. I will uncover and expose them.”
She added, “If you are one, we are one hundred. TMC will not let one inch of land go without a battle. TMC was built with the blessings, greetings and prayers of the mass. In the coming election, the number of our seats will increase because we make development for the people and will do it more while they (BJP) snatch people's rights by labelling the poor people as 'Bangladeshi' and torturing them.”
Lashing out at the ruling party at the Centre, the TMC supremo alleged, “You will have no gain irrespective of your conspiracy. BJP has brought here 500 teams from all over the country. They are carrying out a survey of each and every home to see whose names can be dropped.”
She claimed, “All should keep a watch in their own areas. Never share your details if anyone comes to your home for a survey. Your names will be dropped from the list after collecting your details. Keep it in mind. Go to your polling stations to see if your name exists or not. Get your Aadhaar Card done. It has been made compulsory.”
Ms Banerjee also targeted the central agencies ahead of the polls in the state. “The agencies get active before polls. None of them aligned with the BJP or any other party earlier. They are doing it now. I respect the chair of EC. If children savour lollipops, they look good. But if adults do it, it doesn't suit them,” she observed.
Referring to the recent controversy over Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming movie, The Bengal Files, Ms Banerjee said, “Nowadays some people are making cinema to defame Bengal.”
