Police Seek Clarification in Dharmasthala Skeleton Case
In a separate but related development, a YouTuber named Sameer MD has been booked by the Dharmasthala Police.

Mangaluru: In connection with the ongoing alleged skeleton disposal case registered at Dharmasthala Police Station, police have sought some clarification from the witness and the legal team.
Some individuals claiming to represent public interest have demanded that either the current Investigating Officer be replaced or that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) be formed to probe the case. The police have now sought to clarify whether the complainant-witness and the legal team are aware of these demands, and what their official position is on the matter.
Authorities have noted that certain statements made by the legal representatives of the complainant-witness during a press conference on July 11, 2025, are factually incorrect.
In a separate but related development, a YouTuber named Sameer MD has been booked by the Dharmasthala Police.
A video containing additional and misleading details—allegedly created using artificial intelligence (AI)—has been broadcast on a YouTube channel. Police said that the video includes false information about the complainant-witness and the case, and has been deliberately circulated with the intent to provoke public unrest. In this connection, a case has been registered at the Dharmasthala Police Station against a YouTuber named Sameer M.D. under sections 192, 240, and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Meanwhile in light of the identity of the complainant-witness in the case being disclosed on social media, a separate inquiry is being initiated by the Bantwal Deputy Superintendent of Police.
