PASE exams to start today

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is to conduct the Intermediate public advanced supplementary theory examinations (IPASE) for May/June 2024 from Friday to June 3. Major examinations will conclude on May 31 with sessions scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon, and again from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, the board said on Thursday.

A control room has been set up to assist students during the examination. Its telephone number is 040-24655027 while the email is helpdesk_ie@telangana.gov.in.

Around 926 examination centres will be in use for the examinations, which will be monitored by 14,200 invigilators. The candidate count for the IPE March 2020 examinations stands at 4,27,015, with 3,92,966 general candidates and 34,049 vocational candidates, including 2,73,407 first-year students and 1,53,608 second-year students.

For effective conduct of the examinations, a district level high power committee has been established, including the district collector, SP and various educational officers. Measures include deploying flying squads, arranging RTC transport, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, providing medical aid, and installing CCTV cameras at examination centres. Authorities are instructed to close nearby Xerox centres to prevent malpractice. Drinking water facilities and furniture are provided at the examination centres. Stringent action will be taken against any officers or management involved in malpractices or irregularities under section 25, a press release stated.

Students' downloaded hall tickets will be accepted in the examinations without the principal's signature.
