President Droupadi Murmu to visit Odisha from February 2
During the visit, the President will attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore on February 3, where she will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event will be held on the university campus
Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will be on a five-day visit to Odisha beginning February 2, during which she is scheduled to attend official and academic engagements across several districts, including Balasore, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj.
During the visit, the President will attend the 12th convocation ceremony of Fakir Mohan University in Balasore on February 3, where she will grace the occasion as the chief guest. The event will be held on the university campus.
Confirming the programme, Fakir Mohan University Vice-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Tripathy said arrangements are being made to host the President at the convocation.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on February 2 and stay overnight in the state capital. On February 4, she will visit Jajpur, where she is slated to offer prayers at the Maa Biraja temple.
She will subsequently travel to Mayurbhanj district and attend multiple programmes on February 5 and February 6 as part of her extended itinerary in the state.
Officials said detailed administrative and security arrangements are being put in place ahead of the President’s visit.
