Hyderabad:A 40-year-old man was found dead after allegedly being killed by his wife using a dumbbell at his residence in Saroornagar around 6pm, on Friday. The police have taken the wife into custody.
According to Saroornagar police, the deceased, Shekhar, 40, was married to one Chitti, 33, 16 years ago. The couple shifted to the city for work from Nagarkurnool. The couple had two children - a son and a daughter.
Chitti was allegedly in an extramarital affair with one Harish, who has been absconding. After being confronted about the affair, Chitti reportedly killed Shekhar. When neighbours found out, they informed the police, who reached the spot and registered a case. While Chitti initially denied, on further questioning, she confessed to the crime.
Shekhar's body was shifted to the Osmania mortuary for postmortem examination. Further investigation and hunt to chase Harish to know if he played a role in the murder is on.
Man cheated with fake papers
Hyderabad: The Moinabad police registered a case following a complaint filed by a 60-year-old journalist alleging a man committed a land fraud.
According to the FIR, Mohammed Shamshuddin, a resident of Jubilee Hills, stated that he was approached by the suspect, Madi Ram Reddy, around four years ago when he was looking for sports-related land.
Reddy allegedly showed him documents claiming ownership of three acres in Survey No. 176/47 at Aziz Nagar and took an advance of `3 lakh, later demanding `50,000 and `10,000 monthly, promising to finalise the deal. The complainant later discovered that the documents were fake and that he had been misled. A case was registered under Sections 318(4) and 316(1) of the BNS. The accused is yet to be apprehended.
