Unidentified persons stabbed a car driver working for Karnataka Minister for Women and Child Development Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s son Mrinal Hebbalkar at Belagavi on Tuesday afternoon. (Representational Image)
Basavanta Kadolkar, the car driver of Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar’s son Mrunal Hebbalkar was stabbed by two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle on Tuesday afternoon on Club Road in the city.
According to sources Basavanta had stopped the car and was standing on the roadside when two persons on a motorcycle approached him and allegedly attacked him with a knife and fled the scene.
Kadolkar sustained stab injuries to the chest, shoulder and other parts of the body and was rushed to a private hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
A case has been registered and further investigation is being conducted by the police officials.
