Two held for raping minor girl

Adilabad:Adilabad police arrested two people for allegedly raping a minor girl and remanded them on Saturday. Police registered a case against the accused under various sections including POCSO. The victim's family had complained to the police on Friday.

Police tried to calm down tempers in connection with the incident as the election code was in force. The police identified the accused Ingole Anil, Ingole Gangadhar and Dhupatre Shusma. A father in middle age and his son in his 20s allegedly assaulted the girl sexually who was their neighbour.

Nirmal SP Janaki Sharmila who was acting as incharge for Adilabad district visited the RIMS, Adilabad where the victim was undergoing treatment and also the scene of the offence on Saturday night.
