Trader Found Dead in Durgam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: A 35-year-old trader who went missing from his house in Trimulgherry on Wednesday was found dead in Durgam Cheruvu on Friday in what is being suspected to be a case of suicide. The victim, Chandresh Jain, is survived by his wife and their five-year-old child.

He is suspected to died by suicide due to financial problems in his solar panels business and the sudden death of his father last year, Madhapur police said. The family had lodge a missing person complaint with the Alwal police on Thursday when he did not return home in RTC Colony, Trimulgherry.

Police learnt that Jain had booked a vehicle through a ride-hailing application and traced him to Durgam Cheruvu. On Friday, police found his body in the lake and recovered it.

Wedding Gold, Rs 15L Stolen From House

Hyderabad: The Nandigama police registered a case after a family in Mamidipalli reported the theft of gold and cash saved for their daughter’s wedding, on Friday. Nandigama inspector P. Prasad said the complainant, Krishnaiah, discovered that 16 tolas of gold ornaments and `15 lakh in cash were missing from his house.

Krishna had kept the valuables in his house four back. There were no signs of forced entry and only three family members reside at the house. “He had sold his land four years back and got the cash and kept it in his house. No major visits have happened there since then. We suspect he kept it somewhere and forgot,” the inspector said.

Case against man for harassment

Hyderabad:The Sanathnagar police booked one Ravi Kumar following a complaint from a woman from Fatehnagar, alleging harassment and life threat.

Inspector A. Purender Reddy said the complainant was in a relationship with Ravi Kumar. When he started harassing her, she ended the relationship and informed her family. With the intervention of elders and community heads, both parties agreed not contact each other again.

Her marriage was scheduled with another person recently, and Ravi Kumar allegedly attempted to destroy the alliance. He is said to have contacted the bridegroom and disclosed personal details of his relationship. Following that, he reportedly called the woman and threatened to kill her if she went ahead with the wedding.
