Telangana Wins Overall Title at All India Prison Duty Meet

Hyderabad:Telangana Prisons secured the overall championship at the seventh All India Prison Duty Meet, which concluded here on Monday, drawing about 1,200 participants and 140 supporting staff from 24 states and Union Territories.

DG prisons Dr Soumya Mishra said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had appreciated the state’s achievement.
She said a technology expo was organised for the first time as part of the meet, showcasing advanced solutions such as AI-enabled surveillance systems, drones, scanners, contraband detection technologies, robotics and modern information management software.
Prison-made products from various states were also exhibited. Dr Mishra said a miniature Charminar model crafted by prison inmates was presented to every participant.
Senior officials Y. Rajesh, N. Murali Babu, Dr D. Srinivas and M. Sampath were present at the event.
