Scottish Woman's Body Found in Suitcase; Suspect Arrested

Athens: Greek police have arrested a 26-year-old Afghan national in connection with the murder of a Scottish woman whose body was found stuffed inside a suitcase in an abandoned building in Athens.
According to police, the victim was identified as 38-year-old Elisabeth-Jane Ross. Her body was discovered on July 18 after a homeless man noticed a foul smell coming from an empty building in the Kypseli district. Upon investigating, he found a suitcase with a human limb protruding from it and alerted the authorities.
Police said the accused was arrested in Athens. During questioning, he allegedly confessed to placing Ross's body inside the suitcase and abandoning it in the vacant building in the Kypseli district.
The motive behind the murder is under investigation, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Investigators believe the victim was murdered close to the location where her body was found. However, a homeless man who found the suitcase claimed it was not in the building two days before the discovery.
