Police raid spa; 10 women, 11 customers taken into custody

Vijayawada:Police raided an illegally run spa and took 10 women and 11 customers into custody near Veterinary Colony Service Road in the city on Saturday.

According to Machavaram police, Chalasani Prasanna Bhargav was the main accused in the case who used to run the spa and operate it in someone's name to escape the law.

Based on specific information that some illegal activity was going on at the spa, police raided it and took the women and the customers into custody.

However, the main accused was at large. Police ruled out any link between the main accused, Bhargav, and any political party and said that he was involved in the SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

Police booked a case, and an investigation is on.
