Meerpet murder: Accused Gurumurthy tells police he’ll host feast after release

Hyderabad:P. Gurumurthy, arrested for the brutal murder of his wife Venkata Madhavi, on Friday told policemen to take good care of him and he would organise a feast for them when he is freed.

He made the comments to media personnel while being shifted to the Cherlapally jail after being presented in court, where police sought his custody.

Meanwhile, police sent 18 items from his house, suspected to be used in the murder and disposing of evidence, were sent for forensic testing.

The items include, stove, knife, roller, roller stone, bucket, water heater, clothes, door mat, scrap bucket, motor cycle and mobile phones of the deceased and accused.
