Hyderabad: Sultan Bazaar police arrested Gautham Rajesh, 29, a resident of Hanuman Tekri, for allegedly attempting to rob an ATM. He tried to open the cash box of the ATM at a kiosk on January 20. Police arrested him based on CCTV camera footage.
Man Arrested For Selling Ganja
Hyderabad: The STF, along with the excise police, Nampally, apprehended one Yogesh Jadhav for allegedly selling ganja. A case also registered against four others — K Satish, S Rajitha, and M Prashanth and Saket Rahul — who are absconding. Around two kilograms of ganja was recovered from Yogesh’s possession.
Car Showroom On Fire In Madhapur
Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a car showroom late on Thursday night in Madhapur. Firefighters were fighting the blaze when last reports came in. There were no casualties. Around 15 vehicles were damaged in the fire, police said. As the showroom is located on the main road, efforts to douse the fire also resulted in traffic congestion. The estimated property damage is yet to be known.
Two get six days jail for quarreling
Hyderabad: The 16th Special Metropolitan Court at Secunderabad on Thursday sentenced two persons who were quarrelling in public to six days imprisonment each. Lalaguda sub-inspector said the duo had been booked in an e-petty case earlier this month. Police said Venkatesh Goud, 25, was walking home in a drunken state and picked up a quarrel with one Uday Kiran, claiming that the latter was staring at him.
Fire Breaks Out At Hardware Shop
Hyderabad: A fire broke out at a hardware shop on Medchal road at 6 am on Thursday. No casualties were reported. Medchal inspector Satyanarayana said the fire was noticed by the family members of the shopowner. The incident occurred about 100 metres from the Medchal police station.
3 nabbed for sharing child porn
Hyderabad:DCP cybercrimes D. Kavtha said the police had arrested three persons for circulating child sexual abuse material on social media platforms. The arrest was based on inputs received from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) portal.
Preliminary verification was conducted using leads such as IP addresses, mobile numbers, and email IDs, tracing the accused to locations under the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad police commissionerate, Kavitha said.
Evidence and leads provided through the Cyber Tip line Report were being corroborated to identify individuals involved in creating, sharing, or circulating CSAM, the DCP said.
The accused were aged 25, 26 and 32 years. Two of them were employed with private firms and the third was self-employed.
15 yr old dies by suicide due to study pressure
Hyderabad:A 15-year-old died allegedly by suicide at her residence in Chintal in Jeedimetla over educational pressure on Thursday. A case was registered.
According to the police, the deceased was studying in Class 10. On Wednesday afternoon, she returned from school and looked upset. When her parents tried asking, she did not respond. She entered her room and locked herself up and took the extreme step.
When she did not respond to her parents, they broke the door open and found her dead. They suspect that she might have slipped into depression due to study pressure and taken the extreme step.
Hyderabad Police Arrest Four For Road Roller Theft
Hyderabad:The Jeedimetla police arrested a four-member gang that stole road rollers, and recovered property worth `34.5 lakh from their possession. Balanagar DCP K. Suresh said the police analysed footage from 64 CCTV cameras to nab the accused.
The arrested accused were identified as Afroz Ahmed Patel, Mohammed Ibrahim, Shaik Anwar and Balla Ram Satyanarayana, while Syed Mustafa is absconding. The complaint was lodged by one B. Laxman, 40, a resident of Balanagar.
