Woman held for sexually assaulting minor boy
Hyderabad:Jubilee Hills police arrested a 28-year-old domestic help, on Saturday for sexually assaulting and threatening a 17-year-old boy, her neighbour. She faces charges of criminal intimidation and under the Pocso Act for sexual assault on a minor. The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the minor.
The case emerged after the victim’s mother filed a complaint on May 1, triggered by a report from her employer’s manager. On March 29, the manager saw the help forcibly kissing the boy during a check of the servant quarters, a police officer said. When the victim's mother confronted her, the accused claimed she kissed him as a “younger brother,” but her response raised doubts.
The victim’s parents, who live in the employer’s servant quarters, counselled their son. The boy, initially silent due to fear, revealed that the accused had assaulted him in mid-March. He said she forcibly kissed him, expressed affection and threatened to frame him for theft if he resisted, according to Jubilee Hills station house officer K. Venkateshwar Reddy.
Police found that in early April, the accused coerced the boy again, threatening to get his mother sacked by alleging theft unless he complied. The victim said the accused lured him to her room and assaulted him, police sources added. Police registered a case, arrested the accused and produced her before a court for judicial remand, the SHO informed.
