Infant Girl Found Dead in Dumpster in Mailardevpally

Hyderabad:An infant girl was found dead and the body abandoned in a roadside dumpster at Babulnagar Colony in Mailardevpally early on Monday. Inspector B. Satyanarayana said a sanitary worker noticed the body while clearing waste and called the police.
Mailardevpally shifted the body for postmortem examination. Preliminary observations suggested that the baby was approximately seven months old. “It appears the body may have been dumped after her death. The cause of death will be known only after the postmortem,” he said, adding that no external injuries were found on the body during the initial inspection.
Police were examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to try and identify those who had disposed of the baby’s body. “Some CCTV cameras captured movement of bikes in the vicinity during the late hours, but the identity of the person responsible is yet to be ascertained,” the inspector said.
