According to Balapur Inspector M. Sudhakar, Zakir Ahmed, 31, murdered Nazia Begum, 30, at their house at New Green City in Balapur.
Hyderabad:A 30-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband over a suspicion of her involvement in an extramarital affair, Balapur police said on Wednesday. According to Balapur Inspector M. Sudhakar, Zakir Ahmed, 31, murdered Nazia Begum, 30, at their house at New Green City in Balapur. The couple had three children. Nazia was working with an event management company in the city.
The police received a complaint from the deceased’s mother Rubina Begum at around 9.30 am, alleging her daughter had been murdered. In her complaint, Rubina has alleged that Zakir was suspecting her daughter of an extramarital affair. After the couple had an argument on Tuesday night, Zakir allegedly killed Nazia by attacking her on her head with a stick. Zakir had called up Rubina in the morning and informed her of the murder and fled.
Nazia’s body was shifted to the Osmania mortuary for postmortem examination. Search is on for Zakir. A case was registered. “We are investigating and waiting for postmortem reports to know more about the murder. Further investigation is going on,” the Inspector said.
