Hyderabad:A 25-year-old food delivery agent was over by a private bus after his bike skidded on Monday night. Mehdipatnam sub-inspector N. Preethi Reddy said the victim, K. Abhishek of Shaikpet, was heading towards Tolichowki to deliver a food parcel when he lost control of his motorcycle and skidded on the road and was run over by a bus coming behind him
Police said Abhishek was reportedly in a hurry to complete the delivery. After conducting a post-mortem examination at Osmania General Hospital on Tuesday, the police handed over the body to his family members.
Nigerian Woman Deported Over Drug Charges and Visa Fraud
Hyderabad:A woman from Nigeria, identified as Victory Itohan Iyasele, was deported to home on Monday after being found involved in drug trafficking and other criminal activities, the Telangana Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) said.
According to Sandeep Shandilya , director TG-EAGLE Force, the personnel arrested three foreign women at the state border in December on suspicion of involvement in drug peddling. The trio confessed that they were staying in Visakhapatnam. Police found they were using fake passports and visas.
One of them had used a forged passport and visa in the name of Dambuza Tafadzwa, a purported Zimbabwe national. FRRO authorities recovered her original passport, which confirmed her identity as Victory Itohan Iyasele, a Nigerian national.
Following this, the EAGLE Force sought a Movement Restriction Order from the FRRO, after which all three women were lodged at the Detention Centre, Central Crime
Jubilee Hills Burglary: Valuables Worth ₹10 Lakh Stolen; Driver Suspected
Hyderabad:Unidentified burglars broke into a businessman’s apartment in Jubilee Hills and decamped with valuables worth around `10 lakh, including 70 grams of gold ornaments, a high-end watch and `50,000 in cash.
According to the complaint by K. Ravi Mahender, he had his family had locked the house and were away when the robbery occurred. While police began an inquiry and started analysing CCTV camera, their suspicion fell on the complainant’s driver. An official said the police were on the lookout for the driver.
Telangana EAGLE Force Nabs Juvenile Drug Carrier; 10kg Ganja Seized in Hyderabad
Hyderabad:Telangana EAGLE Force, in coordination with the SR Nagar police, apprehended a 17-year-old juvenile suspect allegedly being used by a Mumbai-based drug syndicate for interstate trafficking and seized 10 kg of ganja worth about `5 lakh.
Acting on credible information, the team conducted an operation on Sunday and intercepted the juvenile at the a railway station in the city, Sandeep Shandilya told Deccan Chronicle on Monday.
Our teams recovered 10 kg of ganja packed in five packets, a mobile phone and other incriminating material from his possession, Shandilya said. The suspect, a tempo cleaner from Bhiwandi in Maharashtra’s Thane district, was exploited by drug suppliers who targeted his vulnerable financial background to use him as a carrier and evade police scrutiny, he said.
During interrogation, the minor said that he had been lured by one Hazi Shafiullah Shaik of Mumbai with an offer of `1,500 to travel to Odisha. At Malkangiri, he met one Mehfuz who sent him to the railway station in Hyderabad. At the station, the minor was handed over a travel bag containing the ganja and instructed the juvenile to board a train to Mumbai to deliver it to one Khala, the mother-in-law of Hazi Shafiullah Shaik. “Our teams detained him while he was waiting to board an MMTS train,” Shandilya said.
