Debt, Grudge Led to Auto Driver’s Murder

SHO G. Narsaiah said the murder stemmed from personal disputes and financial issues.

Hyderabad:Kothur police arrested four persons in connection with the murder of 27‑year‑old autorickshaw driver Madhav Biradar, whose body was found at Shivanagar Colony on Sunday. SHO G. Narsaiah said the murder stemmed from personal disputes and financial issues.

The accused — Mohammed Owaiz, Mohd Irfan, Naseer Pasha alias Syed Naseer Pasha, and Shaik Sohail — are all autorickshaw drivers. Police said Owaiz had lent Biradar ₹1.5 lakh, which he failed to repay, while Irfan bore a grudge over Biradar’s frequent phone conversations with his sister. The accused allegedly lured Biradar to an open place, got him drunk, and attacked him with beer bottles, knives, and a granite stone.

A case was registered based on a complaint by the victim’s mother, and mobile phones of the accused were seized.
