Adilabad:Eight more suspects allegedly involved in the death and skinning of tigress K8 were remanded to judicial custody by the Sirpur (T) court on Monday. All of them are residents of Penchiklapet mandal in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district.
With this, the total number of arrests in the case has risen to 30, including four prime accused. The suspects have been remanded to judicial custody in three phases. Forest officials said the number of accused grew following forensic lab reports on nail samples collected from individuals suspected to be involved in skinning the animal.
Khammam police nab 3 cyber criminals
Nalgonda:Khammam cyber crime police arrested three persons from Vijayawada for cheating people in the name of online trading and investments on Tuesday. The accused were identified as Sheik Subhani, 38, Dasari Sunil Kumar, 37, and Sudalaguntla Krishna Sai, 30, all residents of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
Presenting the trio at a press conference, Khammam police commissioner Sunil Dutt said the accused duped a software engineer from Bonakal in Khammam district of `1.62 crore by sending investment-related links to his WhatsApp number. They lured the victim with promises of high returns through online trading platforms. After realising he had been defrauded, the software engineer lodged a complaint with the cyber crime police, leading to the arrests.
