Hyderabad:A five-year-old girl died after she was accidentally left inside a car in Kadthal on Sunday. The incident came to light on Tuesday. Kadthal inspector Gangadhar Chanda, the child had accompanied her parents and relatives to church on Sunday morning. After returning home, the girl remained in the car.
It was only in the evening that her mother noticed the child was missing and alerted her husband. As they began searching for her, a neighbour observed that the door of their parked car was slightly open. When they checked inside, the girl was found unconscious with rashes all over her body. She had died by then.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, her father said, “None of us realised she was still inside the car.”
He added that the girl may not have called out because she was upset with him for not buying her some accessories earlier. “Usually, we park our car under a shed. But that day, the shed was occupied, so we had to park it in the sun. Our daughter couldn’t handle the heat and vomited due to suffocation,” he said. When they finally found her, he said, the heat had affected her skin.
