3 Indians Arrested in Canada for Shootings Over Extortion

3 Indians, including a teen were arrested on Sunday in Surrey, Canada after shots were fired and a small fire was reported in Surrey’s Crescent Beach neighbourhood. The three are now charged with Criminal Code offences for extortion, according to latest police reports. Major Crime Section has taken over the investigation

On February 1, Harjot Singh(21), Taranveer Singh (190 and Dayajeet Singh Billing (21) were arrested by SPS officers as they were getting into a rideshare vehicle following the firing incident.

All three have been remanded in custody until February 5, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming, officials informed.
