WI Team Wants Extra Stock Of Coconut Water For Better Hydration During Oct.11 Indore T20I Match
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degree Celsius on October six, 2026: Reports

BHOPAL: The West Indies (WI) cricket team has sought extra stock of coconut water for better hydration during the third T20 International (T20I) match with India, scheduled to be held at the famed Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore in Madhya Pradesh on October 11.
The WI team manager requested the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) to ensure extra stock of green coconut due to rising heat and dry weather in Indore, according to MPCA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rohit Pandit.
The recent retreat of monsoon in Madhya Pradesh has caused mercury to soar leading to dry and relatively hot weather in the state.
Indore recorded a maximum temperature of 34 degree Celsius on October six, 2026.
It is predicted that the city may maintain similar weather conditions on the match day on October 11.
“Usually, coconut water is made available to the rival teams during the international cricket matches for hydration of the players. But the WI team has requested extra stock of coconut water this time and the demand is being met”, an MPCA official told this newspaper on Tuesday.
The WI team manager made the request to the MPCA on phone, the cricket body official said.
Holkar Cricket Stadium is scheduled to host the third of the five-T20I match series between India and WI.
The stadium has a capacity of 27,500.
All arrangements to host the match have been made, the association official said.
Both the teams are scheduled to arrive in Indore a day before the match on October 10.
The Holkar Cricket Stadium is known for its batting-friendly pitch with the highest score of 260/ 5 recorded in a T20 match played here.
India has won three out of four T20I played at this ground, while the WI is playing in the stadium for the second time on October 11.
