What Jyoti Malhotra’s Diary Reveals About Her Time in Pakistan
According to officials involved in the case, Malhotra referred to her experiences in Pakistan as “full of love” and described the country as “colourful.”

Investigating authorities have recovered a personal diary belonging to Jyoti Malhotra, a Haryana-based YouTuber recently arrested on charges of espionage. The diary reportedly contains entries describing Pakistan in positive terms, prompting further scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to officials involved in the case, Malhotra referred to her experiences in Pakistan as “full of love” and described the country as “colourful.” These entries, handwritten and dated around her trips abroad, have been presented as potential evidence in the larger case being pursued jointly by the Haryana Police, Military Intelligence, the Intelligence Bureau (IB), and the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Malhotra, who had been producing travel content on social media platforms, allegedly came in contact with a Pakistani intelligence officer known by the alias Danish. Authorities claim the relationship began online and later extended to physical meetings, including travel to Bali and other international destinations.
Officials said the diary makes no direct mention of espionage, but includes language that investigators have flagged for contextual relevance. One entry reportedly describes the India-Pakistan border as “weak,” though the intended meaning of the phrase remains under examination.
The diary also references a term, “Operation Sindoor,” which authorities are currently analyzing for possible links to recent military activity. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding its significance.
“The diary reflects her personal impressions,” a senior investigator stated on condition of anonymity. “It is being considered as part of the broader context but is not standalone proof.”
Malhotra was arrested on May 16, 2025, and is currently in judicial custody. She has not released any public statement regarding the diary or the charges filed against her.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities are continuing to examine Malhotra’s travel records, social media communications, and digital devices. A forensic team is also verifying the authenticity and timeline of the diary entries.
No formal charges have been filed in court as of this report, and the contents of the diary have not yet been presented in a public legal forum.
Further developments are expected as the case progresses.
