Venugopal Accuses Centre Of Blocking I.N.D.I.A. Rally

"Modi-Shah are so nervous, they have started blocking people from all over India who have begun moving to Delhi for the November 1st Delhi Chalo March and Mega Rally," he said.

New Delhi:Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal on Wednesday accused the BJP-led Central government of obstructing the movement of party leaders and workers to Delhi for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc's November 1 rally against alleged electoral irregularities, claiming that the Railways had denied special trains to participants from Telangana.

In a post on X, Venugopal alleged that the government was attempting to prevent people from across the country from reaching the national capital for the proposed 'Delhi Chalo' march and rally at Ramlila Maidan.

"Modi-Shah are so nervous, they have started blocking people from all over India who have begun moving to Delhi for the November 1st Delhi Chalo March and Mega Rally," he said.

Venugopal claimed that the Railways had failed to provide trains for Congress MPs, MLAs and party workers from Telangana despite repeated requests.

He said Congress leaders had staged a protest at the South Central Railway general manager's office over the denial of special trains.

"These tactics to suppress the public upsurge against Vote Chori will not succeed," he said, demanding that the Railways arrange adequate trains to meet the demand.

The Congress is mobilising workers and supporters from several states for the rally, which will focus on its allegations of irregularities in the electoral process.

The party has accused the BJP-led government and the Election Commission of undermining electoral integrity, allegations rejected by the BJP and disputed by the poll panel.
