C’garh: 3 Jawans Injured in Maoist IED Blast, Spike Hole Trap, 2 Civilians Killed by Naxals
Two security personnel were injured in an IED blast, while another was hurt by a spike trap during an anti-Naxal operation in Bijapur.

Raipur: Three jawans were on Tuesday injured in the Maoist improvised explosive device (IED) blast and spike hole trap during an anti-Naxal operation in Gangaloor area under Bijapur district in south Bastar of Chhattisgarh, police said.
A jawan stepped on an IED planted by Maoists during the operation, triggering the blast leading to injuries to him and another cop.
The two injured jawans are from CRPF battalion 231 and district reserve guard (DRG), the tribal counterinsurgency wing of the Chhattisgarh police.
In a separate incident during the operation, another jawan of DRG was injured when he got trapped in the spike hole trap laid by the Maoists, police said.
“All the three jawans were evacuated and sent for medical treatment. All of them were out of danger”, Bastar range inspector general of police P Sunderraj said.
In a separate incident, two tribals in Budgicheru village under Bijapur district were brutally killed by Maoists after dubbing them as police informers.
They were abducted from their houses in the village on Monday night by a group of armed rebels and their bodies, with throats slit, were found on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday morning, police said.
