Two Girls Drown in Pond During Chhath Puja in Hazaribag
Tragedy strikes Bela village as Gungun Kumari and Rupa Tiwari drown, raising Jharkhand's drowning toll to eight in 24 hours

Ranchi: Two girls drowned while bathing in a pond during Chhath Puja in Jharkhand's Hazaribag, police said on Monday. The incident happened in Bela village in the Keredari police station area on Sunday evening, they said.
With this, the toll due to drowning rose to eight in the state in the last 24 hours. The deceased were identified as Gungun Kumari (11) and Rupa Tiwari (12), police said. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination, they said.
